Next Level Lattice Design

Today's Ins-pie-ration comes from the incomparable @Jojoromancer who has begun experimenting with taking her lattice work to wild and wonderful places...  

So this was what I had in mind last weekend, before I went rogue with my pastry wheel... While making it, the word "tricoter" (to knit) kept bouncing around my head - it's the byproduct of growing up in a bilingual country! And The After! I did worry the pastry might fall apart, but happily it's held together and, bar a wee bit of juice escaping over the side, it hasn't bubbled up uncontrollably... Amazing. See, if I tried that with my crust, it would crack and crumble into dust... Gotta get her crust recipe one of these days!
